What your group does

The Divers want every pearl recovered. The Sirens want the Leviathan awake, or the final dive to end with pearls still hidden. Players receive their allegiance privately.

Your private hand shows what you hold, but not which cache contains each card. You can tell the truth in your declaration or bluff. The lamp holder opens another player's cache. That player then gets the lamp and chooses next.

First session

  1. Arrange access through contact@murkymotives.com.
  2. Once admitted, one person opens a private expedition and shares its invite link or expedition code with the group.
  3. Each person joins from their own browser. Keep private hands and allegiances on their owners' screens.
  4. For the clearest first game, choose The Descent and leave optional rules off. The captain starts when the crew is ready.
  5. Check the private hand, declare what you want the crew to believe, and follow the lamp. Its holder presses and holds a legal cache to open it under the default controls.

Three moments to follow

The claim: compare a public declaration with what later opens from that player's caches.
The handover: opening a cache also gives its holder the next choice.
The private view: the audience can see why a player bluffs if the edit shows their private hand or allegiance clearly.

Recording

Capture the table, the declaration, the selection and the reveal together so viewers can follow the decision. Label a cut to another player's private view. If a match is being played live, arrange the broadcast so other players cannot see private information from it.
